This Portugal destination wedding at Quinta da Pacheca, was probably the most beautiful and music tuned wedding i’ve ever had the opportunity to plan. With a little bit of help of my friends and two great grooms, Sonia and Charif.
A wedding at Douro Valley, that passed through so many beautiful places: Régua, DOC at Pinhão, Quinta da Pacheca at Lamego. Friends came from all over the world to welcome the grooms to their new life together. Every year that passes by, the team of vendors is more and more connected, and the wedding is more and more a little piece of our hearts, of our days. Especially if you are a wedding planner.
We started the day before at DOC Restaurant, with the serene Douro River as a view, the wedding day was full of smiles from early morning and some nerves. As the outside symbolic ceremony started, the smiles grew stronger. The day ended with an outdoor dinner and party. Such a great vibe with a unique touch of a friend playing drums in a way that no one was indifferent, i tell you, no one! These guys know how to party! DJ fi and drums were explosive! It was simply a perfect surprise!
This wedding was the last of 2018, and 2019 is a sabbatical year from wedding planning for me. Raising two kids, taking a yoga teacher training course, learning about me, about who i am, what i love to do, and especially, to deal with expectations and to be more present in this moment, is helping me to stay calmer and focused to progress in my life with joy and not in pain or uncertainty.
As times goes by, i feel blessed to have the opportunity to get to know all the couples that passed in my life and that in some way lead me to this moment. I think i said this already a few times in my posts, but it’s truly what i feel. Blessed in many ways, but especially because i’ve got to where i am because of them.
Inspire yourself for a Portugal destination wedding!
